CleanTech OC 2012 is the third annual conference and expo promoting economic growth in the Orange County clean technology industry, likely to be one of the most significant engines for job growth over the next decade.  Attended by cleantech entrepreneurs & industry leaders, investors, policy makers, and many others, this is the only annual conference in Orange County dedicated to covering the clean technology space and connecting industry stakeholders from throughout the region & state.

From point of generation to end-user the electrical grid is the backbone of any modern economy.  Unlike advances in telecommunications and other high-tech sectors, delivery of electricity is still reliant upon a century-old system that is antiquated, wasteful, and particularly vulnerable to foreign and domestic threats.  The Smart Grid panel at the CleanTech OC 2012 Conference and Expo will address how technological innovations being developed in the United States seek to make the grid smarter, more secure, and more capable of incorporating renewable sources of energy so that our economy can be powered with a reduced carbon foot print and significantly greater efficiency.

As more people and their leaders around the globe consider options for reducing carbon emissions, greening transportation is inevitably a significant part of the equation, particularly in regions like southern California.  Featuring perspectives from the electric vehicle, natural gas, biofuels, and hydrogen markets, panelists will compare and contrast the benefits of their respective solution, and address the strategic importance of having multiple options in reducing the carbon footprint associated with transportation.
